1. Uploader responsibility
Creators are responsible for ensuring that every upload is owned, licensed or otherwise lawfully distributable. This includes video, audio, music, scripts, artwork, thumbnails, logos, names, likenesses and performances. GWATCH may require proof of rights and may restrict content while that proof is reviewed.
2. How to report
A copyright owner or authorized representative may send a report to copyright@gwatchtv.com. Send one clear report for each related group of works and identify the exact GWATCH material at issue. General statements that do not identify specific content may delay review.
3. Required information
A report should include:
- the reporter’s full name, organization, email address and reliable contact information;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- the exact GWATCH title and URL for each reported item;
- a concise explanation of why the use is unauthorized;
- evidence of ownership or authority to act for the owner;
- a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the report is accurate; and
- the reporter’s physical or electronic signature.
4. Review process
GWATCH will evaluate whether a report is complete, specific and credible. GWATCH may request clarification, ownership evidence, authority documents or additional URLs. Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome, and GWATCH does not adjudicate final ownership disputes between private parties.
5. Interim action
After receiving a complete and credible report, GWATCH may temporarily restrict, unpublish or remove the identified content while evaluating the matter. The timing and scope may depend on the clarity of the claim, apparent harm, legal obligations, available evidence and technical circumstances.
6. Uploader response
Where appropriate, GWATCH may notify the uploader and allow a response. The uploader may provide licenses, permission letters, distribution agreements, ownership records, releases or other evidence supporting continued publication. GWATCH may share necessary portions of a report with the uploader or relevant service providers to process the matter.
7. Restoration
Content may be restored when the reporter withdraws the claim, the uploader provides adequate rights evidence, a competent authority directs restoration, or GWATCH otherwise determines that continued restriction is not warranted. Restoration is discretionary except where applicable law requires a specific result.
8. Repeat infringement
GWATCH may warn creators, limit uploads or monetization, restrict accounts, preserve relevant records, or suspend or terminate accounts associated with repeated substantiated infringement, fraudulent rights declarations, or deliberate re-uploading of removed material.
9. Independent action by GWATCH
A rights-owner report is the normal route for initiating a private copyright complaint, but it is not the only circumstance in which GWATCH may act. GWATCH may restrict or remove content without waiting for a report when it has actual knowledge or credible evidence of infringement, observes an apparent violation, receives a valid court or government order, identifies repeat infringement, or determines that the content violates the Terms of Use or applicable law.
10. False or abusive reports
Do not knowingly submit false claims, misrepresent ownership or authority, conceal material information, or use this process to harass creators or suppress lawful content. GWATCH may reject abusive reports, restrict access to its reporting process, preserve evidence and take other appropriate action.
11. Records and cooperation
GWATCH may retain reports, responses, rights documents, removal history, account identifiers and related technical records for security, dispute handling, repeat-infringer enforcement and legal compliance. GWATCH may cooperate with rights owners, courts, law-enforcement agencies, government authorities and relevant hosting, domain or advertising partners when lawfully required or reasonably necessary.
